Department of Management Studies Conducted a Three-Day Online FDP
The Department of Management Studies, MVGR College of Engineering (Autonomous) successfully organized a three-day online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled āEmerging Technologies in Business Managementā from 8th to 10th January 2026.
The FDP was conducted on the Webex platform and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 266 faculty members from various institutions across the country.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Y. M. C. Sekhar, Principal, MVGR College of Engineering (A), who emphasized the importance of integrating emerging technologies into management education to meet contemporary industry requirements.
The FDP featured six technical sessions delivered by eminent academicians and industry experts. The sessions focused on contemporary themes such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence in business, data analytics, fintech innovations, sustainability, and technology-driven decision-making, providing valuable insights into current trends and applications in business management.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. E. V. P. A. S. Pallavi, HOD & FDP Convener, Department of Management Studies, with the support of faculty members serving as session coordinators. The active interaction between participants and resource persons made the FDP highly engaging and productive.
The programme concluded with a valedictory session, where participants expressed their appreciation for the relevance and quality of the sessions. The FDP successfully achieved its objective of enhancing faculty competencies in emerging technologies and their applications in business and management education.
